How to ask for a quotation
Generally, each translation is unique. For this reason, we cannot offer a list of set fees, because it would be unfair to you and your needs. Quotes for document translations are estimated depending on several variables:
- Character Count;
- Format of original text (electronic vs hardcopy).;
- Purpose (informal document vs publication document);
- Delivery Date (Urgency of the translation);
- Complexity & Subject Matter (technical, legal);
The final estimate will be provided after our team evaluates the text or a representative sample of it.
These are some generalities to take into account:
Translations services are calculated on the basis of the source character count (number of characters in the original text), as long as the text is available on an Word or Excel compatible electronic format. Otherwise (if the text is available only as a hardcopy, fax or scanned PDF file), the final price will be based on the number of words in the translated text. (In this case, the quote will be a very rough estimate,
as it is virtually impossible to know the exact word count in beforehand). Small, occasional projects may be subject to a minimum flat fee according to our available translation packages.
Editing, Summarizing & Writing services are billed per hour, or depending on the nature of the writing assignment. In this case, a flat fee may be negotiated.
Urgent or Express translations will take 50% extra charge according to our delivery services.
