We have calculate prices for translations and proofreading based on the number of charachters a documents has. The advantage is that you will always pay only for the fixed number of pages you have. We quote the client immediately after receiving the source text.
For price bids and tenders, where other applicants give their prices calculated according to standard pages, we are of course able to use this method too. The price per standard page is based on o fixed number of 2000 characters for one standard page for the given language combination.
When do we charge differently
This calculation method cannot be used for some documents like court certified translations or with a format where the number of source characters cannot be ascertained electronically. Then a preliminary estimate of the number of characters is used for calculation purposes. The exact number of words can then be counted after the work has been completed. The invoice price is only then calculated according to the target number of characters in the translated text.
Court certified translations
For court certified translations and standard official one page documents, the price is calculated on a standard page. The price calculation is rounded up to one full standard page of translated text.
